Global gaming revenues reached $191 billion in 2021 and are forecast to grow to $321 billion by 2026. The first video game was created in 1958 called Tennis for Two. While gaming has many benefits, excessive gaming can negatively impact physical and mental health if not moderated.

personal computers with sound cards, graphics cards and

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) is the trade association of the video game industry in the United States. It was
formed in April 1994 as the Interactive Digital Software Association (IDSA) and renamed on July 21, 2003. It is based in Washington,

13. Persson's principal venture for founding Mojang was Minecraft which gained
popularity and support since its tech demo in 2009. Since then, he has gained

awards and establishing relations with the industry's figureheads. He
retained his position as the lead designer of Minecraft until the game's official
launch in 2011, after which he transferred creative authority to Jens
Bergensten. He had continued to work on Minecraft until he left Mojang in

PUBG: Battlegrounds (previously known as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds) is a battle royale game developed and

a standalone game under Greene's creative direction.
15. PUBG: Battlegrounds, having sold over 75 million copies on personal computers and game consoles as of the end of 2021, is the best-selling video game on PC and
Xbox One, and the fifth best-selling video game of all time. Even more successful is PUBG Mobile's global version, which has accumulated more than 1 billion
downloads and grossed over $8.42 billion on mobile devices, making it the fourth highest-grossing mobile game. With the combined revenue of PC and console
games equaling $4.65 billion, PUBG: Battlegrounds has a total revenue of $13.07 billion as of May 2022, making it one of the highest-grossing video games of all time.
The main game has been free-to-play since January 2022.
PUBG: Battlegrounds was first released for Microsoft Windows via Steam's early access beta program in March 2017, with a full release in December 2017. The game
was also released by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One via its Xbox Game Preview program that same month, and officially released in September 2018. PUBG Mobile,
a free-to-play mobile game version for Android and iOS, was released in 2018, in addition to a port for the PlayStation 4. A version for the Stadia streaming platform
was released in April 2020, with Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 versions being released in November 2020.

Angry Birds is a Finnish action-based media franchise created by Rovio Entertainment. The game series
focuses on the eponymous flock of angry birds who try to save their eggs from green-colored pigs.
Inspired by the game Crush the Castle, the game has been praised for its successful combination of fun
gameplay, comical style, and low price. Its popularity led to many spin-offs; versions of Angry Birds
created for PCs and video game consoles, a market for merchandise featuring its characters, Angry
Birds Toons, a televised animated series, and two films; The Angry Birds Movie and its sequel The Angry
Birds Movie 2. By January 2014, there had been over 2 billion downloads across all platforms, including
both regular and special editions.
