Why do we celebrate Janmashtami?
Krishna Janmashtami is a special day when we celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna. He’s
a very important and loved god in India. Long ago, there was a king named Kansa, who was

a Vrindavan ,Where he performed “leelas”. He became famous for being a little mischievous

Dahi Handi celebration
One exciting part of Krishna Janmashtami is the Dahi Handi celebration. People make tall
human towers to reach and break a pot filled with yogurt or butter, just like young Krishna
used to do.

who was not just a god but also a friend, teacher, and guide. This festival reminds us to be
