NPA from 2008-09 it have started rising and in the year
of 2017- 18 the highest number of NNPA raise in Indian
banking system and 2018 19 it started falling down word

Extant of NPA problems in India
Banks give loans to borrowers. Based on the
performance of the loan. It may becategorised as:-
It means a loan where the borrower is making
regular re payment
1. A standard Asset
It means NPA are the loans and advances
where the borrower has stopped making
interest or principal repayments for over 90
days
2. A non- performing Asset
Some of the factors regarding to the increased occurrence of NPA‘s
are external. Such as decrease in global community price leading
slower export . Some are more essential to Indian Banking system. A
lot of loans currently classified as NPA oriented in the id 2000 at the
time when economy was booming and business out look was very
positive .This look lack of proper credit apprised in the another favor
for the raise of NPA’s because of poor credit appraisal, some time the
bank also give loans to those who cannot pay back the loan
As per the RESERVE BANK OF INDIA a loan is conciderde as “Bad-Loan
or a NPA when the interest due fir any quarter is not fully paid with in
90 days from the end of the quarter .However this period may very
based on the ters and condition agreed upon by the bank and the
borrower
Possible reasons or problems for rising of NPA in Banking sector are-

Impact of NPA in INDIA

The RBI put in a place a strict deadline of 180 days during which a resolution
plant must be implemented, failing whichstressed assets must be referred
to the NCLT under IBC with in 15 days . The frame work also inhanced a
prouision for monitoring of one-day defaults . Where incipents stress and
identified and flagged immediately when repayments are over due
