SUPREME COURT OF INDIA DURING COVID 19 PANDEMIC.
An miscellaneous criminal applica on M.A. 583/2020 in Writ Pe on (Criminal) 136/2016 for
enforcement of Fundamental Rights and Jus ce for Late Srmt. Asha Rani Devi has been turned down
twice dated 17.03.2020 and 28.03.2020 by Men oning officer of Supreme Court of India. As a result of
that pe oner has been stranded in the Lock down and COVID 19 outbreak at the Night shelter of
Delhi.
Therea er, pe oner tried to file an applica on for Early Hearing through e filing but provisional ID was
not generated against his applica on due to non payment of fees.
Ironically, pe oner saw at the website of Supreme Court of India by chance and found that the case
status was showing next date of hearing on 08.06.2020 and 09.06.2020 tenta vely without any NOTICE
or in ma on to the pe oner.
To overcome the issue of online payment for e filing, pe oner has filed an Applica on for Wri en
Arguments vide D.NO. 52123 dated 05.06.2020 offline through party in person counter no.18 at
Supreme Court of India.
Interes ngly, a er filing filing an applica on for Wri en Arguments D.No. 52123 dated 05.06.2020 in
M.A 583/2020 in Writ Pe on (Criminal) 136/2016, the case status stopped showing any next date for
