NMA and IRCAM supported the
teams throughout the
programme organising
collective and individual
meetings and helping them
navigate through MediaFutures
offer.
The teams were invited to
participate in events (online and
phyisical) along the programme
(and afterwards). They could be
panel discussions, exhibitions, pitch
sessions, fairs, etc. A dissemination
meeting was organisation for
artists to maximise their exhibition
potential.
Training
Mentoring
A team of mentors from the
consortium was available "on
demand" to answer specific
questions from the teams and
guide them in their project
developments. Some external
mentors could be required if a
specific expertise is missing in
the consortium.
Teams were invited to get
trained on topics meaningful to
MediaFutures (data, ethics,
property rights, co-creation,
misinformation, etc.) Some
sessions were mandatory.

Training
Peer-learning & networking
Several in-person workshops were organised in different European cities. Experts from the consortium
but also external partners were invited to share their knowledge and discuss with the teams.
9 hours of trainings in the START phase (1 month) / 4h of monitoring
30 hours of trainings in the BUILD phase (5 months) / 8h of monitoring
Examples: “Introduction to Data Ethics”, “Anonymisation is for Everyone”, “Business Planning”,
“Basics of Personal Data and GDPR”, “Pitching Skills”, “Content-Marketing for Startups”, “Data Ethics
Canvas - Practical Guidance”, “Practical Misinformation - Numbers, models, algorithms and us”,
“Propaganda Narratives”, “Future Trends of Technology in Media and Journalism”,
“Sales & Business Development for Startups”, etc.

In Rome in 2023: roundtable with media expert from news outlet such as NewsGuard, La Stampa
