METHODS
The participants we re 942 (71.7 % fe male ; Age s 17: 19 ye ars at
Time stude nts e nrolle d in a mid - size d unive rsity in Southe rn
Ontario, Canada. Stude nts complete d annual asse ssme nts
of social anxiety, social tie s, and acade mic achieve me nt for
thre e conse cutive ye ars.
The sample was compose d
pre dominantly of dome stic - Canadian stude nts (88 %), and the
majority we re from Asia
(36.1 %)
