The tallestskyscraper in the world and the most popular
tourist sites, the Burj Khalifa is renowned as the "World's
Most Beautiful Building." The Burj Khalifa has a multi-use
construction with a heightof over2716.5 ft and up to 163
floors.
The construction skyscraper has beenhailed as one of the
most successful construction projects worldwide.
Burj Khalifa, which was the world's first of its kind, yet did not
appearout of thin air. Project managers and other
professionals collaboratedto ensure the tower's completion
progressed as smoothlyas possible. Their passion and hard
effort made this initiative a huge success.

9. Problem solving and Decision Making
• Evacuation.
Skyscrapershave taken on a new significancesince the terrorist
attackson September11, 2001. The building'sheightmakes evacuationmore
difficult.Thereare refuge rooms that can withstandfire and heat for up to two
hours in the tower's evacuation system Air pumps are also availablein each of
these rooms.
• Collapse.
The Burj Khalifa's heightof more over half a kilometre makes it a risk, despite
the UAE's minimal seismicactivity.In order to remedy this problem, it was
decidedto make it triangular. In tests, the buildingwas found to be able to
survive earthquakesof magnitude6 or greater.

11. The effectivefinishingof the Burj Khalifaprojectwasmade
possible by the combined efforts of innumerable engineers,
designers,architects,andemployees all under the
leadershipof a competent Project Manager.Project
managementhasbeen found to be a key factorina project's
success.
Onehectic taskfor BurjKhalifa'sadministrationis to keep up
the maintenanceof the building.With so many tourists
flocking to see it, continual cleaning andupkeep is
necessary.
