This document provides information about Nayi Disha Resource Centre, which aims to be an online one-stop information platform for families of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in India. It notes that over 30 million people in India have intellectual disabilities, impacting over 90 million family members who need support. Currently families lack access to timely information and resources. Nayi Disha seeks to fill this gap by connecting families to workshops, support groups, and a service directory. The organization has already supported over 3,000 families and aims to reach 1 million families within the next 10 years through expanding its online resources, workshops, and presence across multiple cities and languages.

Lack of support
As per WHO 2004 Report, there are 31 million people with intellectual disabilities in India
Disability impacts not just the person, but the entire family! Hence, there are 93 million
people who are looking for support!
Families of children with disabilities need information at every stage to enable their child.
However, there is no focusing on the families and there is no place for families to access all
the necessary information!
