ABOUT DESH BHAGAT COMMUNITY RADIO
Satguru Foundation (regd) is a welfare organization aimed at the development and welfare of
the community through varied activities and events. Satguru Foundation, an 18-years old
organization, is headed by Dr. Zora Singh, educationist and eminent pioneer of medical
fraternity. The organization was formed by like-minded people from varied fields as teaching,
medicine, accounts and business. The aim of the organization is to impact the lives and the
living conditions of people thereby bringing positive and qualitative changes in their lives.
The Foundation received its licence for a community radio station and named it as “Desh
Bhagat Radio: Aapki Awaz". The philosophy of Desh Bhagat Radio is to lend unconditional
service to the society, by disseminating information regarding issues and subjects relevant to
the community. The channel was launched by Punjab Education Minister, Mr. Sikander
Singh Maluka on November 29, 2012.
The channel is available on a band frequency of 107.8 FM and is transmitted from its Sector 8
studio, covering 10 km aerial radius as verified through official signal testing.
