Command Sergeant Major Nicolino Parisi was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, on
22 January 1961. He graduated from Westfield High School in Westfield, New
Jersey, in 1979 and voluntarily took a leave of absence from General Motors
Corporation for service in the Army on 7 January 1982. He is married to his high
school sweetheart, the former Lauren A. Coleman from Metuchen, New Jersey,
and has two adult children, his son Nicolino and his daughter Marianna.
Upon completion of Advanced Individual Training Military Occupational Skill
36C, Wire System Installer at Fort Gordon Georgia, he was then assigned to
Bravo Company 82nd Signal Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North
Carolina, and served as Radio Telephone Operator culminating into Switch and
Wire Section Sergeant.
Command Sergeant Major Parisi’s previous assignments include: Switch and
Patch Section Chief in 97th Signal Battalion (NATO), Mannheim Germany,
Special Operation Communications Assemblage Section Sergeant in 112th
Signal Battalion (ABN) Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North

humanitarian operations throughout his military career. His most recent
deployments include Operation IRAQI FREEDOM I, II, and III. CSM Parisi served
as Battalion Command Sergeant Major during Operation Enduring and IRAQI
FREEDOM II and III.
Command Sergeant Major Parisi’s military education and training includes the
U.S. Army Airborne School, all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education
Courses, Advanced Airborne School, Ranger School, Inter-Service Radio
Frequency Management School. The Joint Task Force Planner’s Course. The
Antiterrorism Officer Basic Course. The Army Force Management School
(AFMS), the Commandant’s Course, the Army Basic Instructor Course, and the
Senior Training and Education Manager Course.
Command Sergeant Major Parisi’s awards and decorations include the Legion

Excelsior College and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Arts and a
Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, with an emphasis in Teaching and
Instruction from Trident University International. He graduated Summa Cum
Laude honor status.
