It is a rare privilege to have the opportunity to write on behalf of an outstanding educator such as Miss
Nicole Commins.
St Francis de Sales Regional College Leeton, has had the privilege of employing Nicole for Semester 2
2016. In that time, Nicole has undertaken a teaching role, including preparing Year 12 students for the
NSW Higher School Certificate in Ancient History and Studies of Religion. A number of students in both
these courses were able to achieve marks in the band 6 range (over 90).
The College certainly has enjoyed sharing in the joy of Nicole’s teaching success. Her work and
preparation has always been based on an exemplary work ethic coupled with meticulous attention to
detail and professionalism. She has enjoyed the challenge of teaching these courses. Her contemporary
instruction techniques have complimented her exemplary programming, assessment and reporting
procedures.
Nicole is held in high regard by all members of the College community. Her leadership skills, whilst very
collegial, have been strong and assertive. Nicole has welcomed responsibility and she has wilfully
worked in teams with other staff. She has contributed strongly to the collegial nature of the College.
One aspect I would particularly like to put forward has been Nicole’s faith example. She proved to be an
outstanding role model for other students at the College and has always displayed the capacity to
develop warm and positive relationships with all people.
It is clear that Nicole has the desire and capacity to help other people. I have every confidence that she
will continue to be a highly successful individual and I wish her well. I am more than prepared to speak
