On behalfofWorld Council ofPeoples for the United Nations(WCPUN),I would like to
express appreciation for our partnership with the Ecole Superieure de Gestion et
Commerce International(ESGCI), with regard to the Doctor of Business Administration
(DBA)project.
Our collaboration with ESGCI is now in its fifth year. The projects undertaken over the
course of this time have been successful in highlighting the potential for engaging
students in addressing sustainable development issues. On the various occasions when we
have held events at the United Nations to provide a platform for ESCGI students to
present their findings and innovative proposals, participants representing Member States,
non-governmental organizations, academia, media, and the private sector, have
consistently shared much positive feedback.
We are pleased that ESGCI and the team supervising the DBA project will be dedicating
a semester to efforts help secure sponsorship for scholarships that will enable future
students from developing countries to participate in the doctoral programme. The
important role of contacting companies and decision makers in this regard will surely
provide opportunities to further deepen and refine the students' understanding of
partnerships for sustainable development.
We hope and trust that this experience will serve them throughout their careers and help
inspire a new generation ofsocial entrepreneurs.
