When preparing a pasta dish at home, try these tips for
elevating flavors to Italian standards.
1. Season water with enough salt that it tastes like the
ocean before adding pasta. Six quarts of water will
require approximately three tablespoons.

 2. Cooks should prepare a pan four minutes before pasta
is done boiling. This allows a cook to transfer the noodles
directly to the pan to cook in sauce during its last minute.
