These traces were done for a magazine and collectable game card series based around the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, published in Russia by GE Fabbri (Now Eaglemoss Publishing). There
were no high resolution images available from the licensors (Nickelodeon) so using Illustrator exclusively I had to redraw the images we needed from whatever we could find on the Internet. I did
probably close to 1000 images, including character portraits, weapons, vehicles and scenery.

Small Rooms Big Wonders was an idea a few of my friends and I had. We
wanted to put on live events at venues with multiple rooms to cater to various
forms of live entertainment (not just music). We did manage to throw one
event that was a fund raiser for the charity MIND but didn’t take it any
further.
I designed the logo and a social media thumbnail icon:
The name was later appropriated for a film production company that one of
my friends from the original group started. I made the following modification
for him:
The Flamin’ Merkin is the bar that my friends and I took to Burning Man 2013.
Burning Man is an arts festival that is run by the participants and adheres to 10
core principles. One of the principles is gifting so for our gift as a camp we decided
to run a margarita bar giving away about 400 drinks per day for 6 days. My main
task in the group was design so I started with a logo to make a bar sign with:
brand designbrand design
The final bar sign was laser etched onto plywood, spray painted black and then hand
painted in orange in the laser etching part. I also made a 3 meter long sign with just the
lettering in gold laser cut letters stuck onto black plywood:

The Flamin’ Merkin cont. Another one of the principles of Burning Man is
non–commercialisation, meaning that brand marketing for any big companies is
strictly prohibited at the festival. Since we were buying 4 cases of one type of tequila
there was danger of us looking like we were corporately sponsored. To get around this
we designed new labels with our camp logo to stick over the existing ones. I colour
coded them by which day they were to be used to make stock taking easier:

I also did designs for some stickers and business cards to hand out to people. The MASA
stickers were for a space hopper party we had on the Wednesday at the festival:
After Burning Man every year there are Decompression Parties held all over the world.
These parties run on the same principles (or as close to them as possible) and are also
organised by the participants. As a group we took on the responsibility of running
the cabaret room for the London Decompression party 2013. I did an evolution of the
existing logo to reflect the sideshow theme of our room.
These are some recent examples of my work which I created for Byline Publishing using Photoshop.
