1. Family Researcher Roles & Timeline
Team members:
Each team member brings their own set of skills and expertise, which can and should be used to
help complete the grant application. Family partners, like researchers, often have areas of
strength and areas they would like to be involved in/work on. It is important to have a discussion
with all team members at the beginning of the grant writing process to find out how families
would like to be involved in the grant development process.
The list below provides some examples of different ways families may choose to be involved in the
grant writing stage. This list is not exhaustive, rather it is intended to be used as a guideline when
filling out the table on page two. This worksheet is designed to be an organizational tool for your
integrated team to keep you on track during the grant development period (July 2017-September
2017) and the table can be completed for both stakeholders and researchers.

Note: The roles have been divided based on the first three components of the RFA Application and what families
can likely help with. Components 4 (Training & Capacity Building) and 5 (Budget) should be completed by the
researchers.
