Description
The Brush and Brushless Systems are designed for cleaning flat belts (webs) in a wide range of
environments, from dry environments where wet cleaning has to be avoided, to damp and wet
environments. The systems use steam to break down debris and oils, sanitising as it works. An
efficient vacuum draws away the debris and moisture to leave the belt dry.
The Brushless System is best suited to cleaning light debris, oils and many confectionary products
such as chocolate. The Brush System has a rotating food grade brush to help shift more stubbornly
adhered debris, such as thicker deposits of caramel and pastry. The speed and ease in which the
belt cleaners fit to each belt makes this a very cost-effective and useful belt cleaning solution for
multiple belts.
The cleaning heads use the power of steam from portable steam boiler technology without resorting
to chemicals, using as little as 13 - 26 litres of tap water per hour. These are powerful and
environmentally attractive tools for the food industry.

Virtually any size, and can be used on similar sized belts, to about 250” of the maximum

Example: A belt cleaner designed to clean a maximum 850 belt will be suitable to clean
belts around 600mm to 850mm wide. Note steam will be delivered over the vacant
width, resultant moisture normally extracted by the vacuum.

Mounting onto conveyor
structure - width
Standard arrangement uses a slim tray inserted under the belt and clamped to the
conveyor structure. Unless otherwise specified the tray is supplied to fit a structure
200mm wider than the maximum designed belt width. The standard tray overhangs the
maximum conveyor structure width by 100mm each side.
Example: The standard arrangement for a belt cleaner designed to clean a maximum
850mm belt will clamp against the sides of a maximum 1050mm wide structure. The
overall length of tray would be approximately 1250mm.
Please note that the tray can be made to other proportions.
