Reliance JIO service
 Reliance 4G has been launched offering only 4G LTE connectivity, unlike
Airtel 4G which may revert to older technologies like 3G or 2G. Reliance plans
for an all-LTE network. Voice services on Jio will be through VoLTE (voice
over LTE), which allows for calls over the faster LTE network instead of regular
voice networks. VoLTE promises higher call quality, along with faster video
and multimedia services.
 Apart from the technological and Spectrum Pool advantage, Reliance plans to
develop a considerable 4G-enabled device and apps ecosystem by partnering with
different handset manufacturers. In fact Jio has already launched 4G enabled
smartphones manufactured by Indian smartphone manufacturer Intex under the
name LYF.
 According to a report by brokerage firm Credit Suisse, download speed on 4G
network of Reliance Jio during its beta-test phase peaked at 70 MB per
second but remained in 15-30 mbps range on most occasions. At 70 mbps speed,
a full movie can be downloaded in about half a minute, while at 15-30
mbps the download time is about three minutes.( Wow :P )
 4G speed of Reliance Jio faster than Airtel: Credit Suisse
 These differences gives Reliance Jio 4G an advantage over Airtel 4G. At least on the
basis of technology. How consumer markets behave can be known only when
Reliance Jio launches its services.
Airtel service
 Airtel 4G uses 2300 MHz spectrum for BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) in
15 telecom circles of India (out of 22 circles) , though Airtel has also bought 97 MHz
spectrum in the 1800 MHz band, While, Reliance holds the license for 2300
MHz spectrum all over the country plus, 800 MHz spectrum in 10 circles
and 1800 MHz spectrum in 6 circles for all kinds of services. Keep in mind the
fact, that 1800 MHz band is one of the most popular bands for deploying
LTE services across the world, due to considerable advantages over 2300 MHz
band. Around 44% of global 4G networks are deployed over 1800 MHz
spectrum.
 Airtel also has plans to roll out 4G services in 1800 MHz spectrum in around 15
circles using FDD
 Deploying 4G services in 2300 MHz spectrum faces a lot of constraints ( both
physical and economical ) especially in a underdeveloped device ecosystem as in
India. For example, deploying 4G services in 1800 MHz spectrum, requires around
30% lesser no of towers as compared to the 2300 MHz band.
 Know more about the deployment feasibility in different bands here 1,800-MHz
band more feasible for 4G rollout
 Airtel 4G uses TDD-LTE technology, while Reliance plans are to launch 4G
services in 1800 MHz band using FDD-LTE technology and overall leveraging
both TDD- FDD technologies.
Vodafone service
 India country 2 largest telecom operator has launched 4g service in 5
circle namely Delhi ,Mumbai, Karnataka ,Kerala ,Kolkata. It will offer
4g service using spectrum in 1800mhz band .
 also they will carry forward to own 3g coverage 16 circle across the
country
 Future ready technology ,much of the network has been upgraded you
IP technology ready even for 5g technology
 Network roll out over last 3 month voda has completed a massive roll
out of new cell sets .it roll out 5 sites to ensure to give superior network
and wider coverage
 International roaming on 4g –the Vodafone global reaches only
operator in India to provide 4g experience on in international roaming
across 14 market

70GB JioNet data, whereas Airtel myPlan Infinity priced at Rs 2,999 offers
unlimited voice local and national voice calls, unlimited roaming, access to
Wynk Music and Wynk Movies and 20GB data. Reliance also has Rs 3,999 plan
with 60GB data and 120GB JioNet data, and Rs 4,999 plan with 75GB data and
150GB JioNet data. But, Airtel and Vodafone don’t have plans that high.
As we can see in the plans, Reliance Jio’s aggressive plans are here to disrupt
the market. It will be interesting to see how other operators react and bring
competitive pricing to answer Jio. We have been trying Reliance Jio, both on
LYF smartphone and via JioFi 2 portable hotspot device and the speeds have
been pretty good so far, ranging between 4Mbps to 27Mbps. However, with
Reliance Jio aiming for 100 million subscribers, it remains to be seen if the
network is capable of handing that many users, or will fizzle out as number of
subscribers join the network.
Market Shares
Reliance geo service effect in indian market
 The services of gio will highly effect the indian
markets.
 People are crazy toward the provider , as u result
connections for reliance gio are selling just like a
candy bar.
 All the other companies are forces to revise their
plans .
 It has almost destroyed the chances of any other new
provider to enter the market & even the current
provider are in doubt ,about their existence.
Conclusion
 Looking at the current scenario we can easily
illustrate that GIO is going to be a huge matter of
concern for the existing network provider.
 Customers are going to be highly benifited because of
this network war
 There are chances of the existing company like BSNL
& Airtel to come up with even fancy plan, there is
already a rumor about BSNL going to launch 3G at
re.1 for the cutomers with larger plans
