On

100
youth
from
all
around
the
world
gathered
in
Bali
for
the
UNAOC
Youth
Event
which
focused
on
the
development
of
Youth
Recommendations.
These
Youth
Recommendations
represent
what
young
people
need
from
world
leaders
in
order
to
fully
leverage
their
unique
contribution
to
fostering
Unity
in
Diversity.
Education:
• We
urge
global
leaders
and
national
governments
to
involve
diverse
youth
in
structuring
inclusive
national
education
and
foster
meaningful
youth
participation
in
education
policy-‐
making.
• We
call
upon
all
nations
to
embed
global
citizenship
into
the
curriculum
at
all
levels
of
education
with
a
specific
focus
on
cross
cultural
understanding,
problem
solving,
conflict
resolution
and
peace
building.
Media:
• We
strongly
recommend
Member
States
provide
a
youth-‐driven
platform
to
foster
intercultural
understanding
through
the
establishment
of
the
“Week
of
Cross-‐Cultural
Awareness
on
Media.”
• We
demand
the
establishment
of
a
youth-‐led
observatory
on
media
to
ensure
accountability,
transparency,
and
knowledge
exchange.
Migration:
• We
encourage
a
collaboration
of
local
institutions,
national
governments
and
the
UN
to
support
youth
in
creating
and
sustaining
programs
to
raise
awareness
on
migration
issues.
• We
propose
the
UN
under
the
UNAOC
facilitate
regional
and
local
projects
aimed
at
redressing
misinformation
on
migration
by
UNAOC
alumni
and
volunteers.
Entrepreneur/employment:
• We
urge
governments
to
promote
youth
entrepreneurship,
through
mobilizing
partnerships
with
private
sector
and
civil
society
focusing
on
gender
equality
and
eradication
of
barriers
to
entry
for
young
entrepreneurs.
• Globally,
youth
face
an
unprecedented
employment
crisis.
It
is
imperative
to
achieve
full
and
productive
employment
as
well
as
decent
working
conditions
for
youth
through
interactive
strategies
such
as
the
provision
of
vocational
training,
informal
education,
coaching
and
mentorship.
