What’s the difference??
Both are measures of resolution, which is defined as
the fineness of detail that can be distinguished in an
image.

High Definition
Must be a
widescreen
format
incorporation
a 16:9 aspect
ratio.
Must have a
resolution of at
least 1280
pixels x 720
pixels.
Must have a
frame rate
between 24
and 30 frames
per second.
In order for something to be true HD, it must have a
resolution of 1920 x 1080.

Optimum Viewing Distance:
The distance from your
display, where the individual
pixels in a display resolve to form
one clear image to the average
viewer.
• Resolving Distance:
The average eye can only see
1/60th of a degree of this arc.
