2. A Non-Profitable Spiritually Oriented Service Organization,
Nachiketa Tapovan, formed in 1999 ,is the fruit of an
inner calling of Pujya Swami Nachiketananda Puri.
Our core activities are :
♣ Free basic education (Vidya Mandir), for needy children
from weaker sections of our society.
♣ Around 262 children receive free S.S.C board, English
medium education from Nursery to class X along with yoga,
pranayam, crafts, and culture lessons.
♣ They are provided with free meals twice a week sponsored by
Donors to the "Annadanam" scheme.
♣ Rural Development comprising of free health care services
and free education and vocational training in one of the most
backward rural regions, Mehaboobnagar Dist. of Telangana
State in India. Presently we have nearly 150 children from
L.K.G. to 3rd grade obtaining free education.
3. Who is Nachiketa ?
Nachiketa' means the one
who is beyond Happiness
and Sorrow.

1. Holistic approach – We work towards making the
children professionally sound, spiritually aware and
socially responsible.
2. Spiritual awareness – To spread the spiritual
values among the society and help enlighten
their lives.
3. Health Care – We Help them develop a healthy body
and mind through yoga and provide a free dispensary
with free consultation free medicines for the needy.
4. Unleash the talents – Help the children
participate in cultural programmes, quizzes and
educational fairs.
5. Positive thinking – Our various activities to
help in positive thinking and decision making.
6. Sustainability – We ensure that our activities
continue into the future. Donations, corpus fund,
magazine subscriptions, volunteers shall provide the
necessary organizational sustainability
7. Transparency – We make sure that everyone
is aware of the funds received, its usage and
ongoing projects.

8. Nachiketa Tapovan Ashram - A
haven for the spiritual mind.
Maa Yoga Shakti Peetam:
A place for quite reflection, rejuvenation and
spiritual activity. It is a centre for service,
discipline and inner development.
Goshala:
We also have with us, a Goshala, where
we take care of Desi cows.
9. Mid day meals - To provide
All the Tapovan children are provided with
free meals twice a week sponsored by Donors
to the "Annadanam" scheme.
Arts and Crafts - To create a sense
Tapovan children make arts and crafts ,Rakhi’s
and Diyas to generate income which is used for
children. They learn responsibility, accountability
and get a taste of entrepreneurial skills.

Sensitize them for a cleaner earth, - Help children learn to recycle, reuse and reduce waste.

All school going children are taught basic skills and values. Their personalities are developed and
