sector to engage in dialogue on how to
improve legislation and services

93,400 people over 60 or over live on their own in Northern Ireland
By 2028 there will be more people aged over 65 than under 16 for the first time
By 2027 the numbers of over 65s will jump by 44% and there will be twice as many people living beyond the age of 85
By 2062 it is estimated that the proportion of over 50s will be around 45% of the population, a rise of 70% sinece 1982
