Journey
• I went to mentor and advise but learned so
much myself…
• Importance of Leadership, especially in the
absence of physical and financial resources
• Lead without Fear, don’t be afraid to make the
changes you know are needed
• Volunteering is an ongoing commitment: still in
weekly contact with my team.
• Nurses can deliver excellent care even in the
most challenging environments
• Your Enthusiasm and Passion for Nursing are a
vital attribute for a Nurse Leader
