Tribal wars in SHP
Introduction
What is tribal war?
Clan and tribal conflict surround and arguing and warfare of
simpler societies, many of which are given to these forms of
violence because of the presence of social interest.

2. Introduction cont..
Wars comes in two forms,
1.Interstate wars (wars between countries)
2.Civil or societal wars (wars within countries such as
tribal wars)

3. Some common reasons of tribal wars in Southern
Highlands Province.
•Land disputes ( fighting for lands)
• Political issues ( supporters of two political parties)
• Innocent death or revenge killing (when someone is killed for
no good reason)
• Unequal distribution of land royalties.
• Widespread presence of
arms

4. Impacts of Tribal war to the,
Society
 destroys communities and families.
often destroys the social and economic fabrics of the
nation.
 long termed physical and physiological harm to children
and adults.
 reduction in human and material society.

5. Economy
Losses of houses
Infrastructure
decline in working population
Disruptions to normal economic activities

6. Political
 National election ( Destroying ballot boxes)
 Government system (No representatives for the
different electorates)
 Supplementary elections

7. Conclusion
Suggestion to calm these issues.
Since many tribes of todays societies are mostly depending on
weapons (guns) to fight, the government has to reduce the crime
or the issue by putting a complete ban on weapons in the country.
 Additionally to calm some of the issues the legally established
bodies of the government must make decisions(court system) that
are fair to both parties.

Paying the compensation as demanded by the
complainants.
When distributing land royalties it must be distributed
evenly to the different groups.
