4. Objective of the Campaign:
1. To eradicate all forms of child labour upto 18 years.
2. Making State accountable and responsive for child
rights protection and Promotion.
3. Adequate legislation in tune with
CRC is in place and enforced.
4. Create opportunities for girl children in every
sphere/ more positive space for girl children in society.
5. Improved access and Quality education
equitably for all children.
6. Reassuring the childhood for all children upto 18
years.

15. Consolidated Declarations
With a consensus arrived unanimously, it is hereby agreed that;
• Efforts will be made to arrive at a change in the labour laws to
state the age of the children to be 18 as uniform.
• A uniform law for protection of children and also all the laws
related to children will have the uniformity of age as 18 years
• The Government of India and the State Government should
create a separate Ministry for the Children.
• The Panchayati Raj institutions provide and form a Children’s
Gram Sabha across the state and at least to have a meeting twice
in a year to promote the Children Participation in the process of
decision-making.
• The provisions under the Right to Free and Compulsory
Education Act 2009 will be made for all the children upto the
age of 18 years.
16. • Life Skill Education and Psycho-Social Care will be made as a part of
the regular curriculum under the school education
• The Panchayati Raj Institutions should take an effort to eradicate Child
Labour and make each and every panchayat “A Child Labour Free
Panchayat”.
• The Panchayati Raj Institutions should keep Migrant Registers to
collect details of Migrant who are staying their Village and the one who
migrate to other places from their villages especially for the Girl
Children.
• Form Child Sangam in all level where the children is spends most of
their time like Schools, the community level etc. to promote and ensure
children participation.
• The available child protection mechanisms at various levels will be
made more functional with the creation of an organic linkage between
them. Functional relationship with coordination without affecting the
autonomy will be made.
17. • The Government should form separate ‘Watch Dog
Committee’ exclusively for the Girl Children.
• The NGOs and activists should advocate the need of uniformity
on the age of child and make the Government take an initiative
to modify the age disparities in different laws and policies.
• A draft state child protection policy in terms of state children’s
policy will be formulated and submitted to the state government
for acceptance and inception.
• Counseling for all the children will be provided at the school level
to overcome the stress and trauma etc.
• All forms of child labour will be eradicated and alternatives will
be framed based on the local specific need with a special
provision in the Special Component Plan.
