PROJECT 2: Structural Analysis and Full Design for Al Baker Tower 2
it is a tower Ranked as 17th tallest building in Doha, Qatar and 128th
tallest in Middle East (Height 200 m / 656 feet, 48 floors above ground,
3 basements with a 3 tanks and a swimming pool), It`s an office building
completed in 2012.
In third stage: make some Parametric Study ( Piles Stiffness Parameters, Raft
Thickness, Optimization of Piles, Up-Lift Parameter, Optimization of shear wall
and coupling ).
In second stage: Modeling the tower on ETABS and designing under Gravity
loads then checking under Lateral loads ( seismic, wind ).
PROJECT 1: Structural Modelling using different numerical methods:
Boundary Element Method [ PLPACK ] and Finite Element Method
[ETABS ]
for a tower with different hight then compare results under lateral loads
to clarify the differance between Modeling Methods Technique
In first stage: Converting all architectural plans into structural plans and
determining approximate dimensions for structural supporting elements
and carry out a manual design for stairs, tanks and ramps.
