4. What’s a scene
A scene is a dramatic part of a story, at a specific time and place, between specific
characters.
Different types of “beats” stacked together to achieve a sub objective forms a scene.
A change in time and space signifies a change in scene.

5. Scene Outline
• A Scene Outline is a list of all of the scenes that are needed (and will be
shown) in any story or storyline. Jumping into the script without planning
the scenes first can lead to an incoherent draft.
