12A?
• The difference between 12 and 12A is that 12 is
more of videos, DVD’s and blu-rays which is not
rarely shown in cinema.
• 12A is movies that are shown in cinema but the
child must be accompanied by an adult (18 and
over).
• Not much strong languages are used in both
ratings as well as very brief sex scenes are shown.
strong Language is rarely used and violence is
kept to a limit as well as horror.

• The rating 15 means no one
under the age o 15 is allowed
to watch or rent out a movie
in the rating of 15. There are
no limits in the 15 rating like
the 12 or 12A. The 15 is way
stronger than 12/12A it
contains sex scenes, strong
language, violence, strong
verbal sex references, drug
taking, dangerous behaviors
and many others.

• Films rated 18 are for adults.
No-one under 18 is allowed to
see an 18 film at the cinema or
buy or rent any 18 rated DVDs.
• 18 rated films contain very
strong violence, strong
language, strong portrayals of
sexual activity, scenes of sexual
violence, strong horror, strong
blood and gore, real sex,
discriminatory language and
behavior.
