their constitutional right to an attorney and against self-incrimination.” And this led to the
courts saying that, if an police don’t inform arrested people of their constitutional rights,
then their confession could be void.

admittedly illegal police search of her home for a fugitive. She appealed her conviction on
the basis of freedom of expression.” This case was about Mapp’s being searched and seizure
without a warrant, by the police and ended up changing the way the police access our
homes. After this event occurred the Supreme Court ended up ruled that the search and
seizure, was an violation of Mapp’s 4th amendment. And led to the court stopping
unwarranted search and seizures.

4. Civil Rights Act of 1964

1960s when people were still separate but equal, meaning they weren't actually equal and got different treatment. And the treatment was
based of gender, race, and etc. “The Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or
national origin.” The Civil rights act of 1964, basically ended up forbedding dicrimantion of race, sex, when em[ployers are hiting or
firing. And the act prohibits the discrimation in public settings based on race, like segregated restrooms and public schools. The act also
the voting rights in the time discrimation.

“separate but equal” time ending and increasing the civil rights of all individuals Also, the Civil Act helped expand the congress’s

Amendment to the U.S. Constitution granted American women the right to vote, a
right known as women’s suffrage, and was ratified on August 18, 1920, ending almost
a century of protest.” Overall ,the 19th Amendment was passed in 1920, about
women’s right to vote and read. Because before this women didn’t have the the right to
vote, during a time where women were look at wives and caretakers. Then, them
having the same rights as men and doing things a man should do, but women
suffragettes movement helped women progress from no votings to the right to over
time. The 19th amendment stated, “The right of citizens of the United States to vote
shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.”
Without the 19th amendment women wouldn’t be able to vote, meaning they would be
secondary citizen in their own country still.
