Experimental Results –
How to assess data

Experimental result is basically what it says, It's the Result of an
experiment.
Definition To "Result" = Something that results-effect, consequence-
beneficial or discernible effect-something obtained by calculation or
investigation.
Definition To "Experimental" = A controlled procedure carried out discover
or test something. (Ref. Definitions by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
Example: We water a plant to see if it would grow during the week. The
experiment is to see if the plant would grow during the week, and at the end
of the week we find out that the plant did grow. So the result would be that
it did grow during the week you watered it.
What is experimental result?
How to Assess Data?
 To assess is to "evaluate or estimate the nature, ability or quality" of
something, or to "calculate or estimate its value or price."
The concept of assessment also implies drawing a conclusion,
evaluating the object of the assessment.
The assessment of data can be followed in several steps which mainly
depends on the experiment goal, objective and it’s requirement.
It is important to collect the required data and arrange it in a proper
sequence. Several analyses can be used during the initial data analysis
phase.
Based on the results of the analysis draw conclusion and determine the
practical significance.

UTILIZATION OF PLASTICS WASTE IN ROAD CONSTRUCTION
Waste plastics both by domestic and industrial sectors can be used in the
production of clinkers. Waste plastics, mainly used for packing are made up of
Polyethylene Polypropylene polystyrene. Their softening varies between
110oC – 1400C and they do not produce any toxic gases during heating but the
softened plastics have tendency to form a film like structure over the
aggregate, when it is sprayed over the hot aggregate at 160oC. The Plastics
Coated Aggregates (PCA) is a better raw material for the construction of
flexible pavement. Bitumen mix showed improved binding property and less
wetting property. Waste plastics on heating soften at around 170°C.The
softened plastics are then crushed and a powdered plastic is
obtained.Hence, the powdered plastics materials can be used as a binder to
enhance the binding property. This may be a good modifier. This process is
eco-friendly and economical too.
