1. “Achilles”
Narrative:
Achilles has been set a challenge by Athena to reach the mountain top of Mount
Olympus and if he succeeds; he will win her heart forever. On his quest up the
mountain he will face mythological creatures that live in the mountains such as
Minotaurs and Cyclopses.
Character & Visual Design:
The characters are based on ancient Greek heros and Mythological creatures. The
game will be in a retro 8 bit style including the characters, location and even the to
music will be in this style. The location is Mount Olympus; “Home of the Olympian
Gods” according to Greek legend. The colour scheme will be dark traditional colours to
match the theme.
Gameplay & Mechanics:
The game is set out in a 2D platform game style. Achilles will run and climb up ladders
with on coming creatures, he will have to jump over them to pass them. He will carry
on doing this until he reaches the top. There be gaps along the levels so it challenges the
player a lot more. T move left and right you will have to use the left and right arrow
o
keys and to jump is the space button.
Levels:
The game will be made up of one level; Mount Olympus.
