2. TECHNOLOGY OF IOT:-
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical
objects that contain embedded technology to communicate
and sense or interact with their internal states or the external
environment.
It describes a world where just about anything can be
connected and communicate in an intelligent fashion. In other
words, with the Internet of Things, the physical world is
becoming one big information system.
3. Simply put, the Internet of Things (IoT) is the merger of the
physical world with the digital. In the IoT, everyday objects are
embedded with technology – such as Wi-Fi and sensors – to
acquire a unique online identity and the ability to interact with
their external environment.
The internet of things connects devices such as everyday
consumer objects and industrial equipment onto the network,
enabling information gathering and management of these
devices via software to increase efficiency, enabling new
services, or achieve other health, safety or environmental
benefits.
4. TRENDS IN IOT:-
The first applications of the Internet of Things is already in
business processes such as the remote maintenance of
industrial machinery, supply-chain optimization and security,
and infrastructure management; but the technology will soon
see its way into consumer devices.
What we’re talking about now with the Internet of Things is
connecting about 20 billion or more things to the Internet in
the course of the next decade.
Providing actionable intelligence from these large, noisy,
incomplete, and potentially conflicting streams of data will
keep statisticians, analysts, and user interface/experience
designers busy for decades.
5.
6. The resultant streams of data, emerging in real or near real-time, will
be a boon to networking, storage, analytics, and visualization
companies. .
As the Internet of Things continues to expand,IT skills including
Business Intelligence, Mobile Development, UI/UX designing,
Information Security and Hardware technology skill sets will be
especially sought-after in the age of IOT.
Business intelligence specialists with skills in sensor data analysis,
data center management, predictive analytics and programming
chops in the leading big data platforms, such as Hadoop and
NoSQL, will be ideally positioned to meet these needs.
7. INTERESTED AREAS:-
The management of the IoT implementation process and the
demands placed on network administrators alone opens up
the possibility of more Technology Implementation
Management roles.
If I get this internship,I would like to work in Technology
Implementation Management associated to IoT field which will
provide education on what options are out there for IoT
implementation, conduct vendor and partner research and
handle the Requests for Proposals and make sure the
business goals and initiatives for IoT implementation are
outlined, with a detailed plan of how they will be met.
