 Assist with employee selection, daily management, scheduling, and evaluations of all pool lifeguards
 Maintain daily upkeep of pool facility including chemical levels, pumps, and any mechanical issues
 Communicate effectively with pool lifeguards and all patrons to solve issues when they occur
 Ensures that lifesaving certification is current and that all lifeguards are fully competent in performing water rescue procedures and
coordinates in ensuring safety of patrons in and around the pools and monitoring swimmers and to enforce all safety rules
 Plan and facilitate staff meetings and in-service training
Galveston Island Beach Patrol - Lifeguard III March 2013 –Present
 Create a safe swimming environment and stabilize uncontrolled situations along the beach and surrounding area
 Make quick decisions in time of emergency and communicate clearly to supervisors what actions have been taken and are needed to
control the situation
 Maintain physical fitness standards by completing requalification swims and competitions held within the organization
 Educate the community on water safety by giving water safety talks, advising beach patrons where to swim, and explaining the

Lubbock Water Rampage Water Park - Lifeguard Supervisor May 2009 – August 2012
 Assisted with employee selection, daily management, scheduling, payroll, and evaluation of all water park lifeguards

 Conducted weekly in services for all staff and was main responder in emergency situation

NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration – Research Intern February 2016 – Present
 Working on a long term monitoring project for the Flower Garden Banks
 Assisting with historical data analysis on Stetson Bank, and identifying sponges and corals
 Processing and analyzing photos using adobe illustrator and a Wacom monitor
Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network - Volunteer September 2013 - Present
 Attended an all-day training event to become a volunteer, physical tests must be passed to allow you to interact with the marine
mammals
 Volunteered with showing marine mammal bones to the public and educating them over the ocean and how the organization
operates
 The network allows volunteers to assist with the necropsy of dolphins that become beached by recovering the animal, conducting an
onsite analysis of the condition of the mammal, transporting it back to the facility to further conduct an autopsy over cause of death
 Over 60 hours of experience working with two live dolphins, the network tries to stabilize the mammal in the pool with the help of
volunteers 24/7 to help with checking vitals, continuously walking the mammal around the pool, feeding, and other medical
procedures like shots and taking blood all trying to aim for full recovery
Marine Mammal Behavioral Ecology Department - Internship January 2015- May 2015
 Worked under Dr. Bernd Würsig and Ph.D. Candidate Dara Orbach
 Assisted with dissections of cetaceans and learning the techniques of measurement, data recording, and photographing the
specimen
 Used Finscan database to match 30 years’ worth of data for A&M and other scientists. The dolphin dorsal fins photos were
comparted to others to confirm if the dolphin is reoccurring in the research site
 Observed, recorded, and photographed dolphin behavior in the Galveston Shipping Channel for behavioral changes throughout the
day with outside factors weighing in
United Way of Lubbock Youth Division - Project Chair Position August 2010 – August 2012
 Attended monthly meetings for the committee and organization, and spoke at organization meetings to promote upcoming
volunteer opportunities
 Communicated with local non-profit agencies for needed volunteer work, scheduled, and planned opportunities for the volunteers to
