This document discusses casting Jodie Elliott in the role of Kate Steyner. It describes Jodie as a 17-year-old female who is 5'7" tall with faded pink hair. While she did not suit a previous role, Jodie has since taken audition classes to improve her confidence and acting ability. The document notes Jodie fits the role of Kate Steyner well and was enthusiastic and bubbly on set. Due to her height, curves and unconventional appearance, Jodie is a good fit to avoid stereotypes for the part, so she has been chosen to play Kate Steyner.
1. Jodie Elliott
17 years
Gender: Female
Height: 5’7”
Jodie auditioned for my
initial film, Insanity
however, did not suit the
part and was difficult to
instruct. Now later on Jodie
has informed the team that
she has been taking audition
classes and through this has
gained more confidence and
security within her roles.
Jodie also takes part in
private, weekly acting
classes. Jodie found out
about this part through her
agent and was a joy to work
with on the audition set.
For the character, Kate
Steyner, I was looking for a
tall female with an edge to
her which makes her
different. Jodie’s hair is a
faded pink which makes her
stand out.
Jodie fits the part of Kate Steyner
and when Sam and Jodie are stood
together they look like a good
couple.
Jodie had a bubbly personality on
set and showed true enthusiasm
for the character. Jodie does not fit
the conventional idea of a
‘perfect’ girl being stick thin,
bleach blonde hair with bright
blue ideas, i.e. A Barbie doll.
Jodie has curves and her height
compliments her figure. This is
exactly what I wanted as I do not
want to fit in to stereotypes.
For the above reasons, I have
chosen Jodie Elliott to play Kate
Steyner in the upcoming film
Intention.
