Founded in 2005, Baniyas Investment & Development Company (BID), a majority owned subsidiary of the Baniyas Sports Club, has been an active
contributor to the dynamic transformation of Abu Dhabi, moving forward with modernity without ever forgetting the emirate’s rich culture and
heritage. As the investment and development arm of the Baniyas Sports Club, the company’s core competencies are in the areas of investment,

The destination shopping mall within the Bawabat Al Sharq Project, will be a shopper’s paradise, with 339 high profile retail
outlets of fashion wear, electronics, neighbourhood services, accessory outlets and jewellers to choose from. The mall spreads
across two floors, covering 70,000 square meters of gross leasable area and boasting 2,245 parking spaces as well as 22 food
outlets inclusive of restaurants and cafes.
The Shopping Mall will house the leading French retail chain Carrefour as the anchor hypermarket, with a total area of 8,800
square meters - approximately 12 per cent of the mall’s gross leasable area. For entertainment, families can turn to Grand
Cinemas which includes four movie theatres with a total of 1200 seats over 2,543 square meters, bringing the best and latest
in movies. In addition, Wanasa Land, one of the leading names in family entertainment, will provide a wide spectrum of
entertaining activities and services catering to families and children of all ages. As part of the Mall, Souk Al Megnas,	a traditional
souk fashioned in a rich Arabic design, will host a variety of local themed cultural boutiques as well as a falcon hospital.
The Shopping Mall promises to be the largest shopping centre of its kind within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
