4. 0 1HOUSE
DESIGN
INTRODUCTION
A display of use and knowledge of Revit. This was an early
stage design in 2017. The challenge of this design was to
configure five (5x5m) box rooms into a house layout.

D E S I G N
This was one of my College projects on revit.
The aim of this project was to create a house/building out of 5 (Sx5m)
square rooms. The design of this idea got inspired by my aspiration of an
ideal apartment/house for a student.

First stage.
Project 1 office building consists of 6 services.
Architectural Services — This service is a small residential architecture firm. They design
houses for families. They have one on one meetings with their clients and they begin de-
signing the client's requests. They have meetings with other firms that are needed for their
projects, such as engineers, interior architects, landscape architects etc.
Urban Planning Services—This service relates to the Architectural firm as it is also residen-
tial. This firm focuses on the urban development in new residential suburbs e.g. the design
of the suburb, the roads, the water supply, electricity, public transportation etc. This firm
can have meetings with the city council etc. to ensure the correct design to suit the devel-
opments.
Computer Hardware Services—This service is a computer and device repair shop. Custom-
ers drop off their electronic devices for the firm to repair. They also maintain other comput-
ers in the building e.g. if a worker in the Architectural firm is having computer problems,
the Computer Hardware firm can repair it.
Photographic Services—This service is a modelling studio and is also an event photography
service. They shoot family photos either in the studio or a place recommended by the cus-
tomers. They shoot modelling and other events such as weddings and parties. They print
develop and print the photos using the printing service in the building.
Graphic services— This service focuses on web development for companies. Workers have
one on one meetings with the client/5 for details of their website. These companies can
range from first time starter companies or large business companies.
Printing Service —This service is just an ordinary printing service for outside customers and
for other services in the building. Customers can come in and print their documents, proj-
ects or posters. The printing workers maintain the printers for the building and ensure that
customers' orders are organised.

18. PART THREE
O F F I C E
D E S I G N
The services chosen for project 3 are:
architectural, landscape architectural, urban planning, legal, printing and
photography services.
These services are compatible as a few of the services have similar needs of
work spaces and environments.
Legal services need private offices where they can work with clients in
individual secluded spaces, plus desk space where individual work can take
place that doesn't need as much privacy.
Printing and photography need room to separate their noisy printers from
the rest of the quiet offices, while editing is done on computers and pho-
tography is done in separate adjacent studios.
Architectural, landscape architectural and urban planning services all work
in a similar way. They need quiet desks to work at individually Put also
need areas where they can collaborate and areas where they can have pri-
vate meetings with clients.

APART
M E N T
INTRODUCTION
This section is a demonstration of my Sketch Up and AutoCAD
skills. The apartment is based in Milton on a pre-existing site.
This project consisted of selecting two families to design the
apartments for. It also includes a number of concept collages
and massing.
