I am a journalist mainly because I like knowing something about everything. I would like to have

EDUCATION
University of Balamand - Tripoli
o Masters Degree-Mass Communication, Emphasis: Broadcast Journalism (Expected to
finish my thesis in Spring 2015)
Training Certificate – France 24:
o I have completed an intensive workshop “Training with a TV station in
correspondence with France 24 TV station. My report for this workshop about the

Training Certificate – CFPJ:
o CFPJ (Centre de formation et de perfectionnement des journalists): It is an
institute based in France. It sends instructors to the University of Balamand for
workshops to train its students intensively. Each workshop is 5 days long; 7
hours/day. I have completed four workshops that dealt with techniques of
audiovisual performances, script writing, reporting, script &video editing for radio,
script writing, reporting, script &video editing for TV (October 2012-February
2014).

Janneh” – by Marwa Khalil at Theatre Monnot.

INTERESTS & EXPERTISE
Journalism: I am interested in everything that has to do with journalism precisely broadcast
journalism: live newscasts, panels (debate), talk shows, reporting, news editing and writing.
Mainly, I’m interested in programs that go on air and in simultaneous editing rather than other
programs that require non-linear editing. Based on my personality, I prefer news reporting and
covering events because I like working under time pressure.
Causes: I am an activist. I defend a lot of political, social and humanitarian causes especially
women rights. I enjoy doing the “leg work” and being on field.
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Operating Systems: Windows /Vista/MAC
3. - Expert in various software tools including Cool Edit, Pro tools, Aurora, Adobe Premiere,
Avid, A/B roll, Audacity, Final Cut, the whole Microsoft Office and the Internet. I have
also learned how the iNews system works but did not practice using it so much.

- Free As My Hair Lebanon: personal community service initiative (till now).
