Education
Bachelor of Interior Design (B.ID), CIDA accreditation pending
British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)
Graduated with Distinction
• The third and fourth year of the BCIT B.ID included instruction on cultural exploration and finished with an
amazing field study to Tokyo, Japan, where we were able to observe first-hand how culture informs design
• We received instruction on healthcare with a strong emphasis on universal and ergonomic design
• The program culminated in a Capstone project where these important skills were applied, together with
instruction on sustainable design, which consequently produced a superior design solution
• My Capstone project was a post-secondary school for interior design, the Interior Design Academy (idA), in
which the building itself modeled the sustainable ideology of the curriculum, in its very structure and interiors

Management Certificate in Interior Design
British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)
Graduated with Distinction
• The first year introduced the theory of design, including the elements and principles of design, and the
history of furniture
• The focus was on the construction of residential buildings, and drawing with manual drafting and hand
rendering techniques
• An enjoyable project was a La Jolla Vacation Cottage, where I was able to use my acquired drafting
and rendering skills to represent a visually appealing design solution

Associate of Arts Degree
Capilano University
Graduated with Distinction
• The Associate of Arts was pursued with the intention of completing a Bachelor of Art History
• The experience clarified that I was more interested in the interiors in which art was placed, than in the
art itself
• However, the experience of taking two years of university was valuable, and introduced the idea of
critical thinking, which has been of great benefit to me in life and in further studies
