Senator Pam Wolf is seeking re-election in Senate District 37. She has been a 20-year resident of Spring Lake Park and 26-year teacher in the district. Her opponent is Alice Johnson, a 7-term DFL incumbent in the Minnesota House. While Wolf won her first term in 2010 with 52.56% of the vote, the newly redrawn district indexes at 49.3%, slightly favoring Democrats. Johnson has significant experience and a lengthy voting record that Wolf will need to overcome as she seeks re-election in what is expected to be a competitive race between two well-known candidates.
