and services for HNWI and ultra HNWI, including portfolio
management, investment advisory, financing, deposits,
payments and insurance.


DnB NORs Private Banking division is responsible for servicing
2,500 of the group’s most important private customers from
offices in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Tønsberg. Total Assets
under Management are NOK 25 billion. Clients with
international needs are serviced from Luxembourg.


DnB NOR has high ambitions to increase the number of clients
and assets under management and plans to open several new
Private Banking offices during the next years.

AUTOMATED PROCESSES
The most important area for DnB NOR Private Banking was to offer their advisors
one aggregate tool for compiling and viewing information - across internal business
areas of the group. At the same time, DnB NOR Private Banking wished to satisfy the
customers’ ever increasing and complex needs for holistic advice in the wealthy
client segment, and the goal was improved tools for reporting and overview.


The goal was also to create more time for the employees and to use this for
improving quality in relation to private banking. This includes using core
competences across the entire DnB NOR group.


STREAMLINING
Professionalization and streamlining of the back office function were two other
important areas. Reconciliation routines in batch jobs and reporting, internal control
structures, review of accounts and depositories, random checks, performance
calculations and recalculations had to be optimized to create increased profitability.


Quality and precision in the back office function will also improve the internal
processes relating to the front office functions.
