This document discusses various topics including education, healthcare, transportation, infrastructure, climate change and more. It outlines several policies and plans across different areas with the goal of improving services, transitioning to renewable energy, and investing in communities. The overall aim is to build a stronger and more sustainable future for all citizens.

We all know how important tacho data has been for compliance
Later the DVSA will share its plans for a more open data sharing compliance landscape
But remote data download is saving lots of time and energy
That time can be put towards using the data in integrated interesting ways
Remote tachograph download improves compliance process by:
Reducing administration and lost time involved in the collection of data
Automates collection process
Removes need to present at depot periodically for downloads
Transfer for analysis becomes easier Scheduled downloads
Access to data can be demand
Obviously a key part of a haulage company’s responsibilities
Statistic revealed by the DVSA at the launch of Clear earlier this year at Millbrook…
How technology can help with Walk Arounds
DVSA has announced that it intends to launch a trial scheme this year targeting enforcement at operators that can’t provide open access to their records and maintenance programmes.
The new approach will hinge on next generation enforcement whereby firms that sign up for its ‘Earned Recognition’ status must provide the agency with tachograph, MoT and servicing data.
The objective is for the DVSA to then gauge how compliant a fleet is, freeing up resources to pull unknown and likely less compliant HGVs at the roadside.
The DVSA is aiming to roll it out during the 2015/16 financial year and despite the scheme initially being voluntary, it is likely to be popular as real business benefits can be realised for compliant hauliers, with reduced downtime from roadside stoppages.
84% at the Microlise Transport Conference said yes…
Question: Would you be willing to disclose the contents of vehicle and driver records, such as tachograph and CPC details, to DVSA if doing so reduced the likelihood of your drivers being stopped.
We’ll hear more on DVSA plans for next generation compliance later…

The purpose of this slide is to talk around Microlise Fleet Performance, without mentioning the product itself, and discuss how many of the benefits align with those that the DVSA is aiming to achieve with its compliance measures
Training where it is needed

Technology: Intelligent analysis of data to drive maintenance programme
Applications: Predictions about R&M schedules can make sure parts are replaced just in time, which makes the most of resources. Alternatively catastrophic mechanic failures can be predicted when triggers in the data are highlighted, reducing major accident risk and expense.
Benefits: Costs, safety, efficiency… Compliance.
Does exactly what it says on the tin.
