The document discusses the author's background in Judaism and philosophy. It then provides details from Jewish tradition about Abraham, the first Jew, including that he lived during Noah's time and heard stories directly from Noah about the flood and ark. The author explains some stories from oral Jewish tradition, including one where Abraham as a child smashed his father's idols to demonstrate his belief in one God.
1. I
am
now
going
to
explain
to
you
how
I
am
going
to
create
a
government
that
has
rarely
existed
on
this
planet.
I
say
rarely
because
the
concept
is
mentioned
twice
in
the
Old
Testament.
I
already
told
you
my
early
adult
years
were
immersed
in
the
narrative
and
philosophy
of
Ayn
Rand.
But
at
the
age
of
20,
I
made
what
many
would
consider
a
complete
reversal
and
became
a
practicing
Orthodox
Jew.
It
was
purely
a
philosophical
decision.
Over
the
next
thirteen
years
I
drifted
from
being
immersed
in
Rabbinical
Studies
at
various
institutions
in
Chicago,
Israel
and
New
York,
to
trading
stocks
and
commodities,
spending
time
in
a
significantly
large
family
business,
and
creating
a
new
computer
company
and
raising
four
wonderful
children.
Altogether
I
spent
approximately
a
period
of
study
equivalent
to
a
college
education
and
postgradutate
training
in
the
context
that
nonreligious
people
can
understand
in
studying
the
old
testament
with
it’s
commentaries,
and
the
extremely
complicated
books
of
Jewish
oral
laws
called
the
Talmud.
According
to
Jewish
tradition
Abraham
was
the
first
Jew.
He
spent
his
early
years
in
great
jeopardy
living
in
a
Babylon
which
had
a
powerful
king
named
Nimrod.
He
was
in
jeopardy
because
the
Kingdom’s
religion
was
idol
worship.
Abraham
thought
that
was
silly.
Of
course
there
is
one
invisible
god.
You
can
imagine
that
at
that
time
everyone
knew
everyone
else’s
business.
So
it
was
a
very
dangerous
belief.
According
to
our
tradition
Noah
was
still
alive
when
Abraham
was
growing
up
and
he
met
him.
So
he
directly
heard
about
the
Ark
and
the
flood.
Parenthetically
if
you
are
a
bible
reader
and
wonder
why
there
are
so
many
boring
begats
and
how
old
different
people
were
when
they
died,
our
tradition
states
the
reason
for
this
was
that
you
could
calculate
who
was
still
alive
from
the
early
days
of
our
planet.
That’s
how
they
know
Noah
was
alive
in
Abraham’s
time.
(I
am
no
longer
a
practicing
Jew.
I
am
also
no
longer
a
practicing
atheist.
I
just
don’t
think
I’m
smart
enough
to
know
which
one
is
true.
If
it
is
true
that
God
exists,
I
am
counting
on
the
fact
that
my
four
wonderful
children
and
my
ten
grandchildren
who
are
all
practicing
Orthodox
Jews
they
will
get
me
out
of
hell!)
So
according
to
our
traditions
Abraham
heard
it
directly
from
the
mouth
of
Noah
about
the
flood
and
the
ark.
You
may
also
be
interested
to
know
that
the
old
testament
written
out
in
the
original
Hebrew
almost
four
thousand
years
ago
is
one
of
the
most
faithfully
reproduced
documents
on
Earth.
Every
character,
every
shape
of
every
character
and
its
pronunciation
are
carefully
and
constantly
handed
down
from
generation
to
generation.
So
whether
you
believe
this
was
a
man
written
history,
or
a
history
that
was
given
to
Moses
to
write
down
word
for
word
by
God,
most
of
it
is
likely
a
historical
fact.
Most
of
Americans
believe
in
some
form
of
Christianity
so
I
don’t
think
this
is
a
hard
sell.
Here
is
one
fun
story
from
our
oral
tradition.
One
day
when
Abraham
was
still
a
child,
he
smashed
all
the
idols
in
his
father’s
store
except
for
one.
He
put
a
hammer
in
the
hand
of
the
last
idol
and
when
his
father
came
home
and
demanded
to
know
why
Abraham
had
smashed
all
his
merchandise
Abraham
told
him
“I
didn’t
do
it.
That
last
idol
over
there
did
it”
As
you
can
imagine
that
did
not
go
over
well.
So
I
guess
you
could
call
him
one
of
the
first
rebels
in
history.
2. Later
in
life
when
he
was
married,
very
wealthy
had
many
servants
and
flocks
of
animals,
the
whole
entourage
traveled
to
Canaan.
Now
whether
you
believe
he
did
this
because
God
told
him
too.
Or
he
moved
his
family
on
his
own
recognizance;
travel
was
a
dangerous,
life,
health
and
wealth-‐threatening
affair.
This
was
a
journey
across
five
hundred
miles
of
dangerous
territory.
So
this
is
the
first
written
documentation
of
a
person
voting
with
his
feet
for
freedom.
Just
imagine
the
consequences
if
he
had
not
employed
the
only
method
an
individual
has
the
power
to
achieve
freedom.
Travel
to
it!
If
he
had
not
left
Babylon
he
would
probably
have
been
executed,
or
his
family
would
have
assimilated
to
idol
worship.
There
would
have
not
been
a
Jewish
Religion.
That
means
no
Christ.
That
means
the
whole
variety
of
Christianity
would
not
have
come
about.
Since
it
was
Christianity
that
ultimately
led
to
the
downfall
of
Rome.
Perhaps
Romans
would
still
control
the
world.
The
whole
middle
ages
with
feudalism,
chivalry
and
god
sanctioned
Monarchy
may
not
have
come
about.
That
means
no
voyage
by
Columbus
to
discover
the
new
world.
Wow
this
voting
with
you’re
feet
is
pretty
damn
powerful.
And
since
his
son
Ishmael’s
descendants
created
Islam.
There
would
have
been
no
Arabs.
Well
that
might
not
have
been
so
bad.
Oops
I
lost
the
Muslim
vote!
On
a
larger
scale,
the
whole
story
of
Exodus
was
a
much
larger
version
of
the
same
concept.
Here
according
to
Jewish
tradition
six
million
people
voted
with
their
feet
by
leaving
slavery
under
Pharaoh
and
moved
to
what
is
now
modern
Israel.
Even
though
that
the
Jews
were
slaves
and
were
treated
terribly.
They
were
living
in
the
most
modern
society
existing
on
the
planet
at
that
time,
a
nation
that
had
plenty
of
food
and
lodging.
So
this
was
not
an
easy
sell
for
Moses
to
get
all
these
people
to
flee,
especially
because
they
all
feared
destruction
by
the
powerful
Egyptian
chariots.
Once
they
reached
Israel,
for
two
hundred
years
they
lived
under
a
system
that
today
would
have
to
be
called
laissez-‐faire
capitalism.
They
followed
the
written
and
oral
commandments
without
any
formal
government.
Then
do
to
the
pressure
of
surrounding
countries
and
weakening
of
individual
fighting
spirits
they
changed
to
a
monarchy.
Since
then
in
the
16th
century
to
the
present
we
still
see
many
millions
of
people
voting
with
there
feet
for
freedom
to
the
new
world.
In
the
last
century
we
saw
perhaps
hundreds
of
thousands
of
people
risking
everything
to
escape
the
slavery
of
communism
in
the
former
Soviet
Union,
Eastern
Germany,
and
China.
They
were
all
voting
with
their
feet.
You
probably
are
too
young
to
remember
the
so-‐called
brain
drain
from
Europe
to
the
USA
in
the
1960’s.
The
brightest
professionals
in
Europe
immigrated
to
the
USA
for
better
opportunities.
All
of
these
actions
were
acts
of
voting
with
you’re
feet
Now
we
have
seen
a
much
smaller
version
of
this
action
between
the
states
of
our
country.
State
governments
change
their
employment
or
tax
policy
in
order
to
entice
citizens
away
from
neighboring
states.
Again
it
is
the
same
idea.
People
will
always
vote
with
their
feet
to
find
freedom
and
happiness.
3.
Albert
Einstein
was
a
great
believer
in
thought
experiments.
This
did
not
require
any
money.
Perhaps
it
could
be
done
all
in
you’re
head,
or
maybe
you
would
have
to
buy
some
scratch
paper
and
a
pencil.
I
guess
I
Einstein
was
one
of
those
cheap
Jews.
Oops
lost
the
Jewish
vote.
Crap!
Anyway
lets
do
an
anti-‐Einstein
thought
experiment.
Let’s
say
the
Vulcans
of
the
fictional
TV
series
Star
Trek
and
multiple
movies,
visit
planet
earth
and
give
us
the
technology
to
go
at
warp
5.
Warp
five
according
to
the
writers
guide
to
the
original
series
is
625
times
the
speed
of
light.
So
this
is
anti-‐Einstein
whose
special
theory
of
relativity
states
that
the
speed
of
light
in
a
vacuum
is
the
limit
of
speed.
.
So
now
we
can
explore
the
galaxy.
And
the
Vulcans
also
are
very
generous
and
they
give
us
a
star
map
showing
the
location
of
all
the
reachable
at
Warp
5
uninhabited
earth
like
planets.
How
many
of
us
would
leave
to
another
planet
to
get
freedom?
Chew
on
that
one.
Now
all
the
followers
of
Ayn
Rand,
their
much
larger
analogue
the
libertarians,
and
recently
the
group
called
the
tea
party
are
struggling
with
this
fantasy
that
they
can
suddenly
return
this
country
to
the
period
shortly
after
we
formed
in
the
late
1700’s
when
essentially
we
were
a
country
operating
with
complete
freedom.
I’m
a
realist
that
is
not
going
to
happen.
There
are
way
too
many
ingrained
social
programs,
rules,
agencies
the
whole
kit
a
caboodle.
Certainly
under
the
rules
of
Democracy
this
is
impossible.
It
could
only
happen
with
an
armed
revolution.
Not
going
to
happen.
After
a
complete
breakdown
of
society
by
some
seriously
disastrous
economic
event,
no
one
could
predict
the
government
that
would
result
under
that
very
unlikely
scenario.
I
am
not
a
Cassandra
a
doomsday
fanatic.
I
don’t
believe
this
is
likely.
I
don’t
believe
you
need
to
bury
all
you’re
wealth
in
gold
and
silver
in
you’re
back
yard.
Despite
the
destructive
policies
of
our
federal
government,
the
American
people
are
infinitely
resourceful.
Some
new
technology
or
group
of
technologies
or
the
new
revolution
of
manufacturing
by
3d
printing
or
robotics
will
be
able
to
extend
our
government
indefinitely.
It’s
unpredictable
what
type
of
renewed
ingenuity
or
productivity
would
save
our
economy,
but
it
is
predictable
that
it
will
happen.
The
Roman
republic
was
the
ancient
analogue
of
the
US.
They
started
as
a
democratic
republic.
They
were
only
really
interested
in
improving
their
lives
by
technology,
engineering
and
commerce.
In
the
beginning,
they
were
also
a
very
puritanically
religious
society.
Those
orgies
and
toga
parties
were
the
exception
not
the
rule.
They
were
forced
to
use
their
technology
and
brilliant
engineering
skills
to
fighting
other
nations
because
these
other
countries
jealousy.
(Did
you
know
they
invented
indoor
heated
swimming
pools.
Geez
if
I
lived
then
I
would
have
tried
to
steal
that
idea!
Jealousy
we
all
know
that
it
is
one
of
the
most
powerfully
harmful
human
traits!)
Only
then
did
they
become
a
military
power.
And
eventually
a
decline
of
their
democratic
procedures
resulted
in
a
coup
d’etat
that
turned
them
into
an
evil
empire.
But
they
still
managed
to
remain
a
power
for
4. another
couple
of
hundred
years.
That
could
possibly
happen
to
us.
Let’s
hope
not.
Just
so
that
you
can
understand
the
power
of
Roman
engineering,
the
British
during
the
Napoleonic
years
were
fighting
mostly
in
Spain.
They
were
shocked
that
all
the
important
bridges
had
been
built
by
the
Romans
and
were
still
functioning
brilliantly.
Too
bad
they
had
to
blow
most
of
them
up.
But
what
I
am
suggesting
is
that
now,
today
we
have
all
of
the
elements
within
our
power
to
transform
our
country
to
collection
of
autonomous
states
that
will
retain
initially
any
and
all
of
the
hundred
or
so
social
programs,
the
Obama
care
health
system,
and
all
the
other
myriad
morass
of
federal
programs.
We
have
the
existence
of
an
advanced
Internet.
We
have
super
brilliant
technicians
in
the
Silicon
Valley
we
can
use
as
consultants
to
transfer
these
programs
to
the
state
level.
Even
the
smallest
of
our
states
are
large
economic
engines
in
comparison
to
other
countries
on
this
planet.
It
would
be
feasible
for
all
our
states
to
handle
these
programs
independently.
So
first
how
is
this
going
to
be
funded
by
the
states?
Some
of
them
are
already
deeply
in
debt.
Well
remember
I
am
going
to
cut
the
Federal
government
to
a
perhaps
as
small
as
a
fifth
of
its
present
size.
There
will
be
no
federal
income
taxes
on
individuals
or
corporations.
The
states
will
be
able
to
increase
their
present
taxation
to
lets
arbitrarily
say
50%
of
individual
and
corporate
income.
They
can
increase
their
sales
taxes.
I
have
a
couple
of
other
tricks
that
I
will
reveal
that
will
change
the
whole
ballgame
of
our
current
government
that
will
make
a
huge
difference.
Stay
tuned
to
this
channel.
I
control
the
vertical.
I
control
the
horizontal.
For
the
next
twelve
months
of
campaigning
I
will
take
charge.
(This
is
the
opening
to
the
60’s
TV
show
the
outer
limits.)
You
were
probably
wondering
what
I
was
going
to
do
about
those
millions
of
federal
workers
that
will
lose
their
jobs.
Well
a
great
portion
of
them
will
just
have
to
follow
their
federal
programs
to
the
state
level.
Those
that
can’t
I
won’t
hang
them
out
to
dry.
The
best
of
them
will
be
retained
to
manage
the
gigantic
list
of
assets
owned
by
the
federal
government.
The
others
will
have
a
lengthy
severance
package.
So
how
does
this
help?
Well
now
the
states
will
have
to
compete
with
each
other
for
population.
Perhaps
because
of
the
nature
or
makeup
of
the
state
many
of
the
social
programs
make
sense.
But
in
other
states
they
will
drop
them
like
a
hot
potato.
Each
state
will
have
the
government
the
majority
of
their
citizen’s
desire
just
likes
now.
But
now
each
state
will
have
to
compete
with
other
states.
If
one
state
eliminates
some
of
the
regulations,
the
social
programs
and
the
resulting
high
taxes
necessary
to
support
the
program,
it
will
attract
people
who
want
more
freedom
and
less
government
to
immigrate
to
their
state.
Our
citizens
will
always
be
able
to
vote
with
their
feet
for
freedom,
for
liberty
and
the
pursuit
of
happiness.
Let’s
take
some
examples.
The
state
of
Washington
has
some
very
interesting
statistics.
The
total
population
is
about
seven
million.
Five
hundred
and
fifty
5. thousand
people
live
in
Seattle.
Sixty
three
percent
of
the
population
own
homes
which
is
in
line
with
most
of
the
USA
but
their
homes
average
value
is
1.5
times
the
rest
of
the
country.
Two
and
a
half
million
of
the
people
in
this
state
are
employed
privately
in
a
nonfarm
establishments.
So
one
could
say
they
are
at
least
a
pretty
sophisticated
and
wealthy
state.
Washington
is
one
of
the
few
states
that
have
refused
to
introduce
an
income
tax.
They
tried
to
slip
one
in
recently
that
the
government
said
would
only
affect
the
super
wealthy
and
the
tax
rate
would
only
be
1%.
But
they
were
smart
enough
to
realize
that
the
same
thing
was
said
about
the
creation
of
the
IRS
in
1913.
Well
the
IRS
in
1913
also
established
a
tax
rate
of
one
percent.
We
know
what
happened
since
then!
The
fact
that
they
are
wealthier
and
still
have
a
smaller
tax
burden
goes
hand
in
hand
with
the
fact
that
they
are
comprised
of
the
more
generous,
charitable
people
in
our
country.
They
are
well
on
their
way
of
having
no
homeless
people
in
the
city
of
Seattle.
(Homelessness
is
one
of
my
pet
peeves;
it
is
blight
on
our
great
nation
that
it
exists
at
all!
California,
one
of
the
richest
states
in
Union,
and
one
of
the
most
liberal
with
a
very
high
tax
burden
has
a
terrible
problem
with
homelessness.
Anyway,
I
predict
under
my
new
program
the
citizens
of
Washington
will
resist
instituting
an
income
tax.
After
they
are
handed
all
the
federal
programs,
rules
and
regulations
it’s
going
to
be
chop,
chop,
chop
and
either
complete
discontinuation
of
most
of
the
federal
entitlements
or
replacements
by
private
charities.
Florida
on
the
other
hand
has
the
largest
percentage
of
population
over
the
age
of
65.
Their
citizens
are
never
going
to
want
to
give
up
on
social
security
and
Medicare.
But
fortunately
for
them
the
beautiful
nature
and
climate
of
this
state
attracts
enough
wealth
to
support
these
payments.
I
predict
they
will
retain
these
entitlements
and
probably
even
make
them
much
larger.
By
the
way
I
spent
almost
three
years
delivering
anesthesia
in
Florida.
Some
of
the
worst
and
greediest
surgeons
relocate
there.
Be
careful.
Oops
I
just
lost
the
physician
vote.
Oh
here
is
a
private
message
to
Ben
Carson,
my
fellow
physician.
I
agree
with
one
or
two
of
you’re
positions.
Russia
is
dangerous.
I
just
read
Nelson
Delmille’s
latest
novel
Radiant
Angel.
It
scared
the
pants
off
me.
It’s
short
but
poignant.
I
love
John
Corey
the
wise-‐guy
cop.
If
you
do
become
president
you
better
figure
out
a
way
to
stop
the
Russians
following
the
premise
of
this
novel.
All
of
America
should
read
it,
especially
our
Department
of
Defense.
Because
the
novel
shows
how
easy
it
would
be
for
Russia
to
create
a
plan
to
smuggle
a
small
nuke
to
Manahattan
on
a
giant
Arab
owned
boat,
detonate
it,
and
we
would
blame
it
on
the
Arabs.
Our
economy
would
be
destroyed
in
one
blast.
Concerning
you’re
support
for
Israel,
I
have
lived
in
Israel
off
and
on
for
about
two
years
over
my
lifetime.
They
can
protect
themselves.
If
you
become
president,
all
you
have
to
do
is
tell
them
is
that
they
are
free
to
announce
that
their
nuclear
weapons
are
all
pointed
to
destroy
in
its
entirety
Iran
especially
Teheran,
Mecca,
and
Medina.
That
the
USA
will
make
sure
they
do
not
suffer
economically
from
this
announcement.
I’m
sure
Israel
not
only
has
nuclear
warheads
but
probably
6. thermonuclear
warheads
which
are
a
thousand
times
more
powerful
then
anything
those
camel
jockeys
can
build.
Alternatively
under
my
program,
there
is
a
much
more
peaceful
solution.
Since
I
am
making
the
states
autonomous.
Israel
can
become
the
51’st
state.
They
already
have
many
stocks
in
our
most
important
index
the
Nasdaq.
Then
an
attack
on
Israel
will
be
an
attack
on
the
USA.
I
digress.
No
one
can
predict
what
will
happen
if
my
program
is
accepted.
But
with
fifty
independent
states
competing
with
each
other
there
is
going
to
be
some
fun
fireworks!
I
think
there
will
be
an
exponential
trend
towards
life,
liberty
and
the
pursuit
of
happiness.
What
do
you
think?
