It’s time to bring back the true meaning of “The Brotherhood”. Together, we can make the thin blue line stronger!
On Friday July 17th, 2015 the Police Officers
Brotherhood held its Annual Summer Cocktail Reception
and Cigar Smoke Out at the Castle in Roselle Park to
help 6 law enforcement recipients and their families in
need or crises. Lt- Mark Eichert was one of the
recipients due to his battle with cancer and out of paid
sick leave. Our special thanks to Lt- Robert Grover who
helped coordinate the selling of tickets and AD’s for
Lt- Eicherts cause. Once all of the pledges for the event
were received and calculated the POB was schedule to
give the donation to now Captain Mark Eichert on his
recovery.
On October 28th, 2015 the Police Officers Brotherhood
was approved by Warden Mark J. Cranston to make a
presentation donation at the Middlesex County
Correctional Facility in North Brunswick. A contingent
representing the POB were Trooper Wayne Blanchard,
Director of Public Relations, Jerry Conan, Director of
communications and Michael Sica, Jr., past President
and Delegate of PBA #199. This presentation was very
near and dear to Wayne Blanchard because Wayne was
a former Middlesex County Correction Officers who work
with Mark before becoming a State Trooper. A $4,000
check was given to help Capt Mark Eichert and his family
with the expenses they incurred battling a debilitating
illness of colon cancer. Mark was so deeply touched and
thanked Wayne and the POB for being there for him and
his family during his time of need. Mark stated “This is
a great organization and I want to join to be a part of
the brotherhood for those officers who may need
our help and support, in the future.” Unfortunately
the cancer has reoccurred and Mark is again a
recipient at our 10-7-16 Smokeout Fundraiser.
The Police Officers Brotherhood

one of the recipients due to his battle with cancer. Our
