2. Introduction
Michael Saei, the president of First Financial Capital in California, serves
the commercial real estate sector through his equity-based direct
portfolio lending business. Aside from his work facilitating rapid,
customizable loans, Michael Saei is a financial supporter of Los Angeles’
new crowdfunded Freedom Sculpture.
The Freedom Sculpture is a permanent monument in the heart of
downtown Los Angeles that celebrates religious freedom, cultural
diversity, and inclusiveness. Inspired by the humanitarian ideals of Cyrus
the Great, the monument is a project of the Farhang Foundation, a non-
religious, non-profit Iranian-American cultural organization.
3. Freedom Sculpture
The sculpture was made possible by more than 1 million individual
donations from across the U.S. and the world, making it the most
extensively-supported public monument in U.S. History. Those who
have seen the Freedom Sculpture call it a “Statue of Liberty for the West
Coast,” reminding Americans of our country’s founding principles of
equality and freedom for all. California Governor Jerry Brown wrote that
the Freedom Sculpture is the ideal monument to represent California’s
reputation as a state that “actively embraces and values diversity.”
