Norwood Interiors (Aug 2007 to Sept 2008)
I worked as a Surveyor and Project Manager. In addition to reviewing the designers' plans, I project
managed individual jobs from start to finish which meant hiring and overseeing all staff.
Space Kitchens Ltd (Jan 2005 to Aug 2007)
As a Surveyor, my duties were to review and quality check the work of designers. I made the necessary
changes to the plans to ensure that they fit legal and customer requirements. This role required precision
and attention to detail, and I now bring the same level of dedication and accuracy to any role I hold.
Kitchen Renovations (A.M.F. Interiors) (March 2003 to Jan 2005)
2. I worked as Showroom Manager, and my main responsibility was to deal with the day to day running of what
was a very busy kitchen, bedroom and bathroom showroom. This role involved completing a number of
tasks under pressured conditions while maintaining excellent customer service and professionalism,
including going out on retail surveys and completing hand drawn perspective view plans. I am also trained in
using CAD systems.
Capital Furniture Ltd (July 96 To March 2003)
I initially worked for the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom company in retail sales. We then moved into
manufacturing bathroom furniture. I was in control of the furniture design and of the selling to over sixty
independent retailers in the north-east.
Trymills Kitchen Studio (November 94 to Feb 96)
I used the skills I had developed in retail to run my own company, a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom studio
based in Bradford. I had ultimate responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the studio. This was a
challenging experience which gave me a valuable insight into the workings of a company.
Danby Interiors (June 89 to November 94)
I started as Showroom Assistant, but as a result of my hard work and infallibly positive attitude I was
promoted to Showroom Manager. I became a highly valued employee due to my dedication to my work and I
take pride in the skills I have acquired whilst working in retail.
Mark Two Distribution (1982 to 1989)
I worked as Sales Office Manager and, while telephone sales was the main aspect of the position, this was
my first management role and gave me a strong sense of authority. I set sales targets for the assistants that
I employed, offering support and guidance in order to boost sales.
P.J.Hopkinson Ltd (1976 to 1982)
I worked as a Telephone Sales Assistant, providing excellent customer service. This role is where my
professional manner and ability to engage with customers on a personal level stemmed from, and I have
developed and honed these skills throughout my career.
GENERAL INTERESTS AND HOBBIES
I enjoy football, rugby, golf, cricket, cycling, walking, listening to and playing music, but most of all spending
time with my family.
