Assigned to and assisted in the 6000L startup through final batch of the Adalimumab/Humira Purification suite.
Assisted in training Purification, Capture and Cell Culture technicians from Abbott’s Puerto Rico (ABL) 12000L
startup plant at Worcester’s ABC plant.
Volunteered to travel and assist (ABL) 12000L scale Purification startup including packing columns, testing
Chromatography Skids and UF cassette installation through the bottling of the first engineering batch.
Assisted ABL’s process engineers in start-up validation of Capture equipment.
Assisted ABL’s QC micro biologics group in environmental qualification of the production suites.
Twice invited and returned to ABL to assist packing the 12000L scale 1.3 meter capture column.
Cross-trained in Worcester Abbott’s 3000L and 6000L scale Capture operations.
Primary guide for Abbott internal, FDA and EMA Regulatory agency tours of 6000L Humira purification operations.
Primary respondent for Abbott internal, FDA and EMA and other international regulatory agencies audit questions of
6000L ERs and purification operations.
Main contact person for 6000L purification suite interaction with outside vendors and support groups (Maintenance/
Metrology) within Abbott/ Abbvie plant.
Member of Abbott’s / Abbvie’s Production EH&S Safety Committee, Member of Emergency Evacuation Team.
Our BU2 Team earned the annual Zero Believe Achieve EH&S award in 2011 and 2013
In 2012, recognized and personally awarded the annual ABC Zero Believe Achieve EH&S award for driving safety in
BU2 and the plant.
Developed and promoted 2 direct report technicians to supervisory position.
Developed and initiated plant wide second shift Shop Floor Control meeting utilizing the Planning through
Maintenance support groups.
Negotiated second shift training plan with QATD.
