1. Is Freelancing On Fiverr Worth It? Here’s The
Honest Truth
So a few months back I decided it was time to start experimenting with different ways to make
money online. I had read in several different places that Fiverr was a solid option to consider for
freelance work, so I opted to check it out. I created a profile and became a live member of the
Fiverr community.
The set-up was relatively simple, basically just providing a profile picture and some brief
descriptions.
No matter your area of expertise, creating a gig and making some real money is in the realm of
possibilities, and after a few days of browsing through other sellers' pages to see whats works
and what doesn’t, I created my first gig.
For those who don’t know, Fiverr is a marketplace that connects aspiring freelancers (sellers)
with customers looking for specific services (buyers). There are a variety of different categories
that your work can fall under from Financial Consulting to Logo Design. To make money, you
have to create “gigs”, which are essentially a mini sales pitch that tries to reel in potential buyers
to purchase your services.
As with anything, there is no single recipe for success on Fiverr. I cannot give you a
step-by-step guide to make 100k a year or build a list of reliable clients. What I can provide are
my experiences and (hopefully) insights to help you decide whether or not Fiverr is a solid
revenue stream for you to consider.
So, should you start freelancing on Fiverr? Let’s take an in-depth look at the pros and cons.
Pros
You Can Do Just About Anything, In Any Area That Your
Willing To Become Versed In.
In the few short months that I've been reviewing Fiverr, I’ve seen everything from web design
and branding to blog and article writing. To project management and systems solutions.
I honestly enjoy working in such a wide variety of industries that I would have otherwise not
cared to look into.
If you enjoy working on a unique project every time, Fiverr might be the right fit.
Extra Cash
The undeniable ace is that you can make some pocket cash by accomplishing something you
appreciate.
Is it true that you are being paid decently? Presumably not in comparison with certain different
stages and autonomous specialists. In any case, by the day's end, it is cash that you would not
have had otherwise had. Another thing is you don’t have to track down countless leads just to
2. make a sale, although you can. Put in the extra work if you like, just ask folks to please leave a
review.
So far I haven't made a lot, however, moving cash over from Fiverr into my PayPal account is a
handy sentiment, to say the least.
Easy Navigation
Fiverr's platform is fairly straightforward, and you can become an expert in finding what you
need after a few minutes. The Fiverr staff is open to communicating any issues that you come
across and responds fairly quickly. Since so many people are on Fiverr, most of your needs can
be resolved after a quick Google search.
Fiverr also has a forum where you can post questions, and people tend to be very helpful and
informative.
Fiverr Has The Potential To Build A Business From Scratch or
Advance Your Already Salitified Career.
My suggestion is to start on Fiverr (Sign up here). Get the feel of things and
then take advantage of some of these other Freelancer platforms.
Everyone starts at zero on day one. If you take your time creating your gig,
making sure you optimize your copy to appeal to a potential buyer, and
throw a nice picture with it, you should be able to get a few beginner jobs.
And from there it's off to the races.
