The Deity of Jesus
Based on the documents presented by Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter,
there are sufficient evidences to believe that Jesus the one who was born to
Mary, the wife of Joseph is that He is God.
In the letter written by Matthew, he introduced Jesus genealogy as the son of
Abraham and heir of David.
“The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the son of
Abraham.”1
Matthew also recorded the Ten Mighty Works of Jesus that demonstrates His
authority over every realm (nature, disease, demons, death) in which
enumerated below:
1. Leper cleansed (8:1-4)
2. Palsied healed (8:5-13)
3. Fever cured (8:14-15)
4. Storm calmed (8:23-27)
5. Demoniacs (8:28-34)
6. Palsy cured (9:1-8)
7. Hemorrhage (9:18-22)
8. Girl raised (9:23-26)
9. Sight given (9:27-31)
10. Demoniac (9:32-34) 2
Mark also in his introduction stated “The beginningof the gospel of Jesus
Christ, the Son of God...”3
Mark also recorded the three Signs (feeding the 5,000; walking on water;
healing many sick folk.) (Mark 6:30-56)4

Luke also in his narrative recorded the miracle of Jesus in regard to Jairus’
daughter raised5 and the healing of the ten lepers 6
John in his writing start the point in affirming “In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in
the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was
made that has been made. In him was life,and that life was the light of all
mankind. The light shines in the darkness,and the darkness has not overcome
it..”7 And John recorded seven signs that Jesus is the Son of God enumerated
below:
1. Water Turned to Wine8
2. The Healing of Nobleman’s son9
3. Healing The Paralytic10
4. Feeding of 5,000 men11
5. Walking on the Sea of Galilee12
6. Physical sight given to a blind man.13
7. The raising of Lazarus from death.14
Peter in his second letter first stated “Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of
Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through
the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be
multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
According as His Divine power hath given us all things that pertain unto life
and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and
virtue:…”15 and also “For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when
we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but
were eyewitness of His majesty. For we received from God the Father honor and
glory, when there came such a voice to Him from an excellent glory, This is my
beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”16 This is also the same to the
document known as “The Book of Hebrews” wherein God the Father said to
Jesus “Thy Throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the
scepter of Thy kingdom.”17
Paul in his letters to Timothy also affirmed that Jesus is:
1. The One in whom all order is to be found.18
2. The One Supreme above all others.19

3. Paul also in his letter to Titus stated “Looking for that blessed hope, and the
glorious appearing of the Great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave

Himself, that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purity unto Himself
peculiar people, zealous of good works.”20
WHEREFORE, as Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, the Apostles
of Jesus Christ confirm that Jesus is Deity, it is unscriptural to
anyone who won’t believe that Jesus is God because the
eyewitnesses themselves affirm that Jesus is God.

SIR:
Please right after you read this letter, believe on your heart the gospel21,
repent of your sins22, confess that Jesus is God23 and be baptized for the
remissions of your sins24.
