Jesus came into human history as both fully God and fully man through the virgin birth. As God, he took on human flesh and lived among us humbly as a servant. Though divine, he did not rely on his divine powers but lived as a human in order to redeem humanity. He was tempted in every way as a human yet did not sin. Jesus came to save mankind from sin and death and restore our relationship with God.

4. Superheroes are human beings which were given
supernatural powers to save mankind and will
eventually die.
JESUS is God with supernatural powers becoming
human to save mankind, has died and has risen
and will reign forever.

• JACOB NEUSNER ---- a man who does not worship
Jesus as God. He’s an orthodox Jew. When asked,
he basically admits in his book that Jesus is the
one everyone was waiting for, and God was
promising God coming in human flesh.

• Jesus claims that He is God.

we are to live our lives in culture, incarnating,
contextualizing, getting to know the world that we
are in to bring the truth of God to the world.

God. This means that Jesus retained all of his
rights and his divine attributes, but he did not
continually avail himself to them. He came very
humbly.
