● Realism – Drama films deal with human
emotions, playing on serious and tense
events to create conflict. These events are
realistic, as if they could happen to any of
the audience.
● Journeys – Drama films often involve a
journey of some kind, be it literal or
metaphorical. This can be a journey of
character development which are often
designed to effect the audience's emotions.
● Conflict is at the center of a drama, with a
structure of multiple climaxes and anti-
climaxes before the big one at the end
which usually ends with a happy/resolved
ending.
