Introduction
Strategic human resource management (strategic HRM) provides
a framework linking people management and development
practices to long-term business goals and outcomes.
It also informs other HR strategies, such as reward or performance,
determining how they are integrated into the overall business
strategy.
Here , we are looking how HCL is showcasing there SHRM
practices in their company.

Employee involvement Participation of employees to help the
organization fulfill its mission and meet its
objectives by applying their own ideas,
expertise, and efforts.
With 168,000 ‘ideapreneurs’, HCL
promotes innovation and collaboration of
ideas through initiatives such as Value
Portal, MAD JAM, and IPM
Talent management Talent management is the attraction,
selection, and retention of employees,
which involves a combination of HR
processes across the employee life cycle.
In 2021, employees with 1 year of service
or greater received a one-time monetary
bonus that was the equivalent of 10 days
of their monthly salary.
The #TakeCareHCL initiative helps the
employees and their families in dealing
with COVID-19.
Employee development Employee development is a joint initiative
of the employee as well as the employer
to upgrade the existing skills and
knowledge of an individual.
Tech Bees- A talent identification and
career management plan focused on
hiring entry level college and school
graduates from the local academic
institutions and grooming them.
Efficiency of HR

addresses all business-to-employee
(B2E) needs. The goal of this B2E service
is to boost employee engagement and
productivity through automation and AI-

The HR practices followed by the company work towards showcasing the ideology
and vision of the company.
We see from the mapping that most of the practices are targeted to solve the cultural
management area which clearly shows that the motto of “Employee first customers
second” is being implemented and such practices strengthen the core value of
supporting the employees and creating a culture of supporting each other.
The penultimate stress on political area is being reflected by allocation of funds into
various employee benefit programs which ultimately strengthens the cause mentioned
previously.
